Workshops

Current workshops and presentations available:

1. Period Positive Workshop

This engaging and interactive workshop is designed for tweens aged 8-11 and their mums or primary caregivers. It covers essential topics such as the basics of puberty, the menstrual cycle, and the signs and symptoms to watch for as your tween approaches their first period.

The goal of this workshop is to create a comfortable and open space for discussing puberty and menstruation, helping to remove any fear or embarrassment. We aim to normalize these important conversations and empower both parents and tweens with knowledge, all in a relaxed and supportive environment.

2. Super Powers Workshop

This workshop is designed for teens aged 12-16 who have already experienced puberty and may have had their first period. This curriculum-linked educational workshop aims to highlight the “super powers” of menstrual cycle, while also exploring common symptoms that can take place during this time such as emotional and physical changes, in particular pelvic pain which affects 90% of teens with 21% experiencing severe pelvic pain.

The aim of this workshop is to create a safe and open environment for discussing puberty and menstruation. We hope to normalize these conversations, boost self-esteem, and encourage self-advocacy, ensuring that teens feel confident and informed about what to expect from their menstrual cycles now and for years to come.

3. The Menstrual Cycle and its Influence on Energy, Exercise and Nutrition

This educational and engaging presentation was specifically designed for gyms, studios and workplaces to educate people on the influence the menstrual cycle and female hormones have on our energy, exercise and nutrition. This presentation looks at the 4 distinct stages of a menstrual cycle, what is occurring anatomically, the hormones involved and how this can directly impact the way your energy levels, appetite and cravings and exercise outcomes.
